This is release 3.1 of SAM-FS for Solaris 2.4, 2.5 or 2.5.1 (Sparc). If you have not read the manual, now is a good time. Any conflict between the manual and the release notes should be resolved in favor of the release notes.

NOTE: SAM_FS has been tested on the sun4c, sun4d, sun4m sun4u kernel architectures. It has been known NOT to run on the sun4 kernel architecture.
